“Your senses never feel so alive as when you’re in a small boat. Down at water level you can smell the clean air that hovers just above the surface, feel the boat surge and glide to your stroke, hear the intimate wash of water against the hull, and see pictures that will stay in your mind long after you’ve put away the paddle” – Catherine Fredman
We will guide a small group of 4-6 people (6 people max) into the backcountry of the William Whitney Wilderness area in the Adirondack Mountains of NYS. Let our experienced licensed guides, wilderness EMT’s and survival instructors lead you through pristine water to find the perfect campsite. Once there you will learn wilderness survival skills necessary to thrive in the backcountry. As a group, we will work together to cook 5 meals and manage daily camp chores. (All meals will be provided by us)
You can paddle your own canoe or rent one of ours. Everyone will also be responsible for having their own tent, sleeping bag and camping gear. A detailed list of what you will need will be sent to you with registration.
