Apply what you have learned in Basic Survival Introduction. BSI is not a required prerequisite, however it is highly recommended you take the BSI class first to have a much better understanding of how and why these skills are paramount.

Further your training and skill level with Hands-on experience. Improvise a tourniquet and other first aid procedures, gather tinder and firewood to create fire without matches, boil water and signal for help… *Bring and use whatever survival gear you may have, however we will provide what is needed for those of you that are not yet equipped.

*Minimum recommended gear :: 2 (27”) 100% cotton bandanas, fixed blade knife, fire steel, metal singled walled cup. Personal :: Water bottle, sun screen, bug spray & folding chair. WE SELL AND HAVE IN STOCK the above “recommended gear”. Just inquire for details or to purchase.

Class is approximately 3 hours long and limited to the first 8 people. We will meet at Mt. Lakes Park, North Salem, NY … LARCH SHELTER
